Winner of 'Best Team Content"
PROBLEM
I was tasked with creating the signature piece and overall creative direction for M80 Esports’ debut at the Esports World Cup in August 2023 (formerly Gamers8), the world's premier esports event, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A team would be rewarded $50,000 for the best team content and another $25,000 for the most creative fans.
SOLUTION
Inspired by Saudi Arabia’s connection to traditional sports, I aimed to bridge the gap between esports and traditional sports while showcasing the tournament’s grand scenery and scale. I developed a visually stunning social media campaign that showcased the beauty of the MENA region and highlighted players' unique backstories, introducing them to this new audience. My efforts were rewarded when M80 won both "best content" and "most creative fans" awards.
